Yes, I'm am a Settlers of Catan fan...and a Cities and Knights fan.  If you are also a fan, you should check out these Settlers of Catan Nachos. Aren't they sweet?!? Someday when I'm super motivated to do a Catan-themed party or something...I'll make these. :)

With Talitha growing more and more in her understanding of what we say and do, I have been looking for a good children's Story "Bible" read to her.  (I say "Bible" because these books are not literally what we would believe to be the inspired Word of God but rather illustrated books with the main stories of the Bible written for children.)    While I have not come across bad illustrated children's Bibles, there are, admittedly, some that are better than others. Gospel-centric children's Bibles, such as the Jesus Story Book Bible , that strive to focus on the Gospel-themes as portrayed throughout Scripture, are popular these days and are some of the best options out there!  However, I have had a hard time deciding which one I wanted to buy.    And then I read a review for The Beginner's Gospel Story Bible, by Jared Kennedy, published by New Growth Press in 2017. For those of you who were not able to make it... and for those who were... here are a few of my favorites from June 1, 2013!  Leading up to "the first look" No comment needed Hehe...this picture makes me smile every time I see it!  Um...I think this group has too much fun together!  No goofing around here...not with the dads in the background! I think this was the part about the island...where no girls were allowed. But then he led into the incredible picture between Christ and the Church and marriage.  It was a memorable moment.   Both Dad and Mom walked me down the aisle...another special time to remember!   I think, just possibly, Mr. Shively was telling Isaac he could kiss his bride. 20 More Books {Fall of 2019 Edition}

Here are twenty more books marked off that ol' reading challenge . I've now read just over forty books this year. ( Here are the first twenty books that I read this year.) I was hoping to accomplish the Committed  level (a total of fifty-two books), but with the number of weeks left in the year (December is just around the corner, yikes!) and the number of books I still have to read (about ten), that leaves me with needing to read roughly two books a week. As much as it originally looked like I was on track to successfully reading fifty-two books this year, I think I'm going to be a few books shy when December 31st comes around. *sigh* On a brighter note, I've absolutely loved using a reading challenge, for it has forced me to step out of my comfort zone and read a whole variety of books!
